What is Le Pension ?

Le Pension is an upcoming chain of backpacker’s hostel in India with our first property located in Jaipur and hopefully many more to come in the future.

What is a backpackers’ hostel?

Backpacker hostels are very popular outside India especially in the European countries however this segment is still in its nascent stages in India. The basic concept is to provide budget travelers with clean, hygienic and safe accommodation at very reasonable prices. Usually backpacker hostels feature dorms equipped with bunk beds and other necessities such as storage lockers, bed side reading lamps, attached bathrooms etc.

What are the types of dorms available at Le Pension?
Le Pension, Jaipur features three types of dorms. Two 6-bed mixed dormitories, one 4-bed mixed dormitory and one 4-bed only female dormitory.
What are the amenities provided at Le Pension?

Are guests under the age of 16 allowed to stay at Le Pension?

Guests under the age of 16 need to furnish a signed letter of consent from their parents and a copy of a valid government licensed ID proof of one of the parents.

Is the breakfast provided free?
Yes!! We provide a simple yet fulfilling breakfast to give your day just the right kick start and to keep you going on course for the day ahead.

Where can I store my luggage/precious belongings?

Every backpacker will be allotted a single locker free of charge on the day of their arrival.

3. House Rules

  • All visitors have to carry a recognized Government approved ID card for the purpose of recognition at the time of arrival.
  • Le Pension has a strict policy against Drug Use and offenders shall be handed over to Police Authorities.
  • Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the dorms or common area, however we have designated smoking areas where guests can enjoy their smokes!
  • Any sort of violent, inappropriate or callous behaviour will not be tolerated and shall be dealt with strictly.
  • We expect our guests to consider the Hostel as their own home and maintain cleanliness throughout their stay.
  • In case guests are using the common kitchen, they will be responsible for the groceries as well as the cleaning up of used vessels.
  • Washing and drying of clothes inside the dorms or the common lounge is not allowed.
  • Guests will be provided with personal safety lockers to keep their belongings, however the management will not be responsible in case of any thefts or misplaced items.
  • Visitors of guests will not be allowed to stay in the Hostels overnight.

2. Everything about your room:

What are the shared rooms/dorms like at Le Pension?

As the name suggests, these are rooms that you share with fellow travelers. Depending on the choice of dorm, you will share the room with up to 5 other travelers.

At Le Pension we have made the utmost effort to keep your rooms cozy and spacious so as not to give our precious travelers a feeling of claustrophobia. Every bed is also attached with a reading lamp for your mid night reads and every room has an attached toilet and bathroom which are cleaned on a regular basis.

Do I get towels and bedding?

Yes, every customer is given an individual towel along with a bed with fresh linen. In case your plan is to stay for more than a day, you can ask our staff to change your bed sheets which they will be pleased to do.

How often are the rooms cleaned?

Our team at Le Pension believes in keeping the rooms absolutely spick and span which is why we make it a point to clean the rooms on a daily basis.

Is the laundry facility chargeable?

Yes we charge a nominal fee for the self-use washing machine at Le Pension.

Are there exclusive female dorms?

Yes, we have a four bed dorm meant exclusively for women travelers.

Is smoking allowed inside the dorms?

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the dorm rooms, however we have designated smoking areas where you can enjoy your daily dose of smokes.

3. Booking and Payments:

How can I book my bed at Le Pension?

You can make your booking by logging to our book now page, else you can call us or email us with your requirements and we will get back to you ASAP.

What is the maximum number of people I can book for?

You can book for a maximum number of 6 people. For a number beyond that, please contact us through email or phone so that we can advise you on the same.

We are a group of less than 6, will we still be in the same room?

Our endeavor would be to ensure that all of you stay in the same room, however we cannot provide a guarantee for the same.

I made an error during booking, what should I do?

No problems, just mail us with your concern and we shall take care of things!

Do I need a Credit/Debit Card to book a room online?

(Note: Valid after the first week of launch of website)

Yes. Bookings are only accepted through valid Credit/Debit cards.

Can I still make a reservation if I do not have a Credit/Debit card?

Unfortunately, no. You can only book a room using a Credit/Debit card.

Is it Safe to use my Credit/Debit Card?

Yes, absolutely! The safety of all your data is ensured by using a secure server with 128/256-bit encryption and encoded into a non-usable form before they are transmitted over the internet to the bank.

What is the amount I will be charged at the time of booking?

We have a policy of charging the full booking amount. (Note: For Bookings made within first few days of website launch, we will start accepting payment within a week).

4. Prices/Discounts:

Is there any discount for long term guests at Le Pension?

Absolutely, if you plan to stay with us for a long period of time, please contact us and we shall be more than happy to make an offer you can’t refuse ;).

How are the beds priced?

Prices are determined purely on the basis of supply and demand which means availability of the beds plays a major part in determining what cost is being charged for the bed. In times of low demand and high supply, you can expect prices to dip and vice versa. Simple Economics, isn’t it.

5. After booking is done:

What is the procedure after booking is done?

The management at Le Pension will immediately get back to you to inform you about the status of your booking and what is the next step in the booking procedure.

6. Booking Cancellation:

(Note: Valid once we start accepting online payments)

Cancellation rules:

If a booking is cancelled under 24 hours of arrival, there will be no refund made to the customer.
If a booking is cancelled between 48 hours and 24 hours of arrival, Le Pension will refund 75% of the billing amount back to the customer.
If a booking is cancelled 48 hours or before arrival, full refund of the booking amount will be made to the customer.

How can I amend or cancel my existing booking?

Shoot us a mail at prateek@lepension.com with the subject line “Cancellation Request”. We shall handle it from there. The Refund rules for cancellation have been provided above.

What happens if I do not cancel my booking and also fail to turn up on the arrival date?

This is a “no show” situation and in this case no refund will be made the customer.
